Ant, Thanks for setting this up. I plan on staying Dixar for a little bit to see how things go and it'll be nice to not waste my time at the cesspool that is the DIS board.
I felt like a good friend of mine died yesterday.
Cheers, Mac

I am in as well, and many thanks for setting this up from me as well. I will hang out at Yahoo Pixar for awhile as well-- I expect the 'dumpster divers' from Disney to return home soon. I hope the team that is Pixar manages to live on and perhaps transform Disney.

Thanks Ant!
Count me as a believer Pixar will transform Disney. We'll never know how Pixar would have done on its own, but I "trust" that Jobs, Catmull, Lasseter and Iger thought long and hard about this. Three of the four are major pieces of Pixar's soul, the fourth "gets it". I'm optiimistic.

Thanks for coming all. I'm excited about this message board - sure a lot easier to follow a thread and such. At least we can do this or this and even this stuff How cool is that!![glow=green,2,300]This board rocks!![/glow] Heck, if you are lazy; hit the spell check before posting. It should catch a few items, or you can also go in aaa and modify/edit your post later.

If no-one has any objections, I'd like to hang out here. I've held Pixar for 3 years or so and visited the Yahoo board almost daily, but was mostly content just reading your informative posts. Not only was the deal difficult to swallow, but honestly, a little ackward thinking I wouldn't be able to read your posts was a bit sad. Hopefully, we can avoid that.

A civilized discussion group! How nice. And you know, since it's not specifically stock related, I don't have to worry overmuch about a post being seen as an attempt at market manipulation!
I do wonder quite a bit about Disney as an investment. I had bought a tiny bit of stock myself in Disney, mostly so I could have the actual certificate, probably back in '95 or '96, can't quite remember. (I mean tiny, like 50 shares back in '96.) And it did so absolutely nothing for all this time. Yet, credit where credit was due, Eisner did cause an amazing stock rise when he came on board in '84.
Here's wondering if it will get the chance to do it now in the next couple of years. Hard, hard, hard to predict the future, but man, if you could have known to by Apple just when Jobs was getting there, you'd be one happy camper today...

Anybody got objections to Dakotakid joining the fun?
I didn't think so. Welcome aboard.
If you found any of my posts informative, I assure you it was unintentional.

Thanks Ant, I hope you all won't mind if I tag along on this forum.
Since the deal was announced, I have found myself wondering where everyone will go and I guess that if we are all on this board, we will know.
I liked Ant's $50 2007, Dis projection and have decided to stay and get behind the deal. Much of that decision was made after finding this blog and reading everyone's informative posts.
Thanks, MW
