Wife and I along with 2 yr 8 mo old went to movie opening night. I thought it was very good, but definitely a different experience with a "child" (lol). First words out of my sons mouth were whoooaaaa and wow at the start. Movie had a great start. Maybe a little too much nascar - ism at start as young one lost interest after about 10 minutes. After that - movie had his attention..then lost it at end when went back to nascar - ism. Pixar drove the point home at end and overall a very good movie I thought. I like the credits especially John Ratzenberg. That was just too funny - people were probably looking at me because I was laughing so hard. Anyways..maybe like Route 66 and Radiator Springs this site might get put back on the map.

I was a little disappointed with the movie myself. Maybe we've become so spoiled that we expect too much. Visuals were great as always and plenty of laughs in there but the movie lacked "tension". Seemed as though we knew exactly were it was going at all times and it was too Nascarsish for me. I particullarily didn't like Owen Wilson in the lead, he was just too laid back in the role, I would've prefered someone with a little more punch. This was the first Pixar flick that I didn't want to go see again right away (outside of Bugs Life since we had just seen two "ant" movies in month). Anywhoose, hope it does well but I'm expected huge things from John L.
Finally sold almost all of my holdings today which was my plan since the merger announcement. Will probably always hold onto a few just a have a chunk of Pixar.
Cheers, Mac

Jobs decision to sell now seems prescient, no?
Imagine Pixar's stock price today if it were still a solo act.

I must concurr with all sentiments expressed. I liked it BUT....I didn't need to see it again right away. I was alittle bored in the middle. Also disconcerted to see DWA has a Rat movie coming out before Ratatouille. So much competition now, so many movies.
Mac, if you don't mind my asking where are you rolling your dis holdings into?
On a brighter note if you liked Napoleon Dynamite, Nacho Libre is a must see. I can't wait to see it again.
